On receiving the award, Cristiane Galli, Apprenticeship Events & Recruitment Officer, commented:

Receiving this award is a true honour and a testament to the dedication of our team, apprentices, line managers, and partners. It reflects our ongoing commitment to continuously improve and support apprentices in every aspect of their journey.

We are passionate about creating meaningful experiences—from university onboarding, buddying, and mentoring schemes to fostering connections through our dedicated apprentice network. To further support success, we offer tailored training for line managers, ensuring they are well-equipped to effectively support their apprentices throughout the programme.

We’re also proud to celebrate the achievements of our apprentices at our annual awards evening, an event that recognises their contributions and leaves a lasting impact.

By providing opportunities for our apprentice ambassadors to develop new skills and gain broader experience—such as supporting local schools, attending careers events, and promoting apprenticeships externally—we empower every apprentice to thrive both personally and professionally.

A huge thank you and congratulations to Jasmine Morassi our former Apprenticeship Manager for her unwavering commitment and invaluable contributions”

In addition to this, two of Oxford’s five finalists were recognised as winners in their respective categories: Emilia Reyes Pabon for the Apprenticeship Ambassador Awards and Jessie Weavers-Medina for the Higher Apprentice Awards.

Emilia Reyes Pabon commented:

I'm incredibly proud and grateful to have received the Apprenticeship Ambassador Award at this year's Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards, organised by Enterprise Oxfordshire. It's an honour to have been recognised among such a talented group of finalists! I'm excited to continue to spread the word, share my apprenticeship journey and encourage future students to explore the opportunities that apprenticeships can offer.

Jessie Weavers-Medina commented:

This award acknowledges the effort and dedication I’ve invested in my apprenticeship and degree. Beyond that, it sends a powerful message that trans people have a rightful place in these spaces. We’re not merely taking part, we are excelling and leading the way forward.

I didn’t achieve this by hiding who I am. I achieved it by embracing my identity and being supported by people and institutions who saw it as a strength, not a problem to solve. So thank you to Kellogg College for seeing me and supporting me.
